Your idea is really interesting and is clearly a psychological thriller. I would recommend you have a discussion about how you can communicate to the viewer that this person is psychologically disturbed, camerawork and sound will definitely play a part in this process.
Your black and white flashbacks need some detailed planning.
Also ensure you seek permission from the vicar to use the church.
Also, take a look at U2-67 Smile, a previous student thriller with a similar location and concept.
