JFK is a political thriller, You know it's the film is politically influenced by the opening sequence.
The opening sequence starts with up beat diegetic music that contains drums, the fact the music
is a drum beat shows its importance which could be represented as a salute to a political leader.
The first visual you see it a quote "To sin by silence when we should protest makes cowards out of men"

Who her self is a political poet, this also shows us straight away that the film will include a lot of political
behavior.
The film title is JFK, so we know it's will be about assassins which makes it a thriller, they don't need to
make it obvious.
